Foundational Literacy Practicum

Your year-long path to SLDI Certification.

This intensive, year-long practicum turns your Science of Reading knowledge into expert clinical skill. Through a blend of small-group instruction and individual mentorship, you will master the art of diagnostic-prescriptive teaching.

55 Supervised Lessons: Build mastery by delivering evidence-aligned instruction to a student or small group using a Structured Literacy approach.

Small Cohort Mentorship: 18 hours of collaborative instruction and coaching in an cohort capped at 6 participants.

Direct 1:1 Coaching: 9 hours of individualized coaching across the year to refine your delivery and receive expert feedback.

*Once accredited, this will serve as the official IDA pathway to become a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (SLDI). Currently undergoing accreditation.
