Our cohorts offer year long support for administrators and coaches implementing evidence-based literacy practices.

Our facilitators are educators, like you, who:

  • Have walked the path of transforming with evidence-based literacy practices

  • Continue to do this work every single day

For an optimized learning experience, each cohort is capped at 10, and includes virtual & in-person learning experiences.

Cohort Details

Leadership Literacy Cohort

For educators who lead school/district level strategic planning and implementation, including directors, principals, deans, & vice principals.

Tailored to the needs of the cohort, concepts include:

  • Forming a literacy vision

  • Strategic planning & roll out (Literacy Action Planning, building systems & structures to support literacy within an MTSS framework)

  • Defining the roles & responsibilities of all educators

  • Building a culture of literacy

  • Family engagement

  • Designing & leading professional learning for educators & families

Coaches Literacy Cohort

For educators who support and coach practitioners, including coaches, facilitators, MLL directors, special education directors, reading specialists, deans, & lead teachers.

Tailored to the needs of the cohort, concepts include:

  • Role of a coach, coaching methods & cycles, & purposeful planning

  • Systems and structures within an MTSS Framework (where does coaching fit?)

  • The 4 types of literacy assessments and how they guide our work

  • Data meetings - types & purpose, frequency, protocols, and developing small group targeted instructional goals

  • Understanding Structured Literacy principles and lesson components

  • Designing and leading professional learning for educators & families
